Audacy’s Atlanta legacy station V-103 has almost announced the addition of Danie B to middays. The position was last occupied by Ramona Debreaux over a year ago and has been rotated since. Danie expressed working at V is a dream come true. See her social post below and video.
At 13 years old, I made up in my mind that I would one day be on V-103. I didn’t know how, but I promised myself that I’d make it happen..
In 2010 I graduated college and as I sat on our living room couch listening to @erika_ervin_ and @_lex_flex talk about their amazing job opportunities, and what their futures look like, all I could do what think F***…. I have such an uphill battle to climb. All I had was an unpaid internship with no promise of a job. Imma have to work my A** off to make it and over the next 13 years, I did just that.
I worked HARD, I slept my car, napped in parking garages, napped on the floor of the traffic center, moved thousands of miles away from my family, got let go 3 times, was told no probably a thousand times, and in the end, I finally got my YES.
It’s been a long hard road, but there were some people along the way who said YES, saw potential in me, and helped get me here. Thank you so much to Fonda Smith, Dyron Ducati, Matt Cook, Connie Cumming, Jennifer Perry, Mike Conti, Ross Block, Melissa Krinsky, JB Wilde, JWill, Jon Riley, Joe Breezy, Dennis Martinez, Steve Carver, Rick Thomas, Reezy, Will Calder, Steve Stewert, Jason Meder, Elroy Smith, Steve Smith, Carmen Hsieh, Keith Day, Angela Schelsman, and of course my brother Kevin Kon.

So, that being said, after a year and 8 months of being a radio gypsie with no place to call home, I’m proud to say that you can listen to me as I return to my hometown of Atlanta, GA, to rock the mix in the iconic, V-103 weekdays 10a-3p!
