DJ FLEXX TAKES OVER AS MUSIC DIRECTOR ON WPGC 95.5dj flexx, radiofactsorg.wpengine.comWashington, D.C., October 31, 2017 – Today, CBS RADIO, Washington, D.C.’s WPGC 95.5 announced that DJ Flexx will take over as music director, alongside his PM on-air hosting duties, weekdays from 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM. WPGC 95.5 celebrated its 30th anniversary in June and continues to be one of the most listened to radio stations in the Washington, D.C. metro area.DJ Flexx started his radio career at WPGC-AM Flava 1580 in 1995. DJ Flexx honed his skills, not only as a mix-show Radio DJ, but also as a radio personality and was quickly hired by sister station, WPGC 95.5 the following year. He moved from nights to evenings and currently hosts afternoons. Flexx also served as the DJ on BET’s Teen Summit. DJ Flexx considers himself the Go-Go Ambassador recording singles with Rare Essence and the Backyard Band. He’s also collaborated with Groove Theory, Salt ‘n Pepa, Funkmaster Flex, and Lil Jon.“I am beyond excited that WPGC’s legendary afternoon host, DJ Flexx will take on the role of Music Director for the station,” said Steve Davis, Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO Washington, D.C. and Program Director of WPGC. “Flexx is an incredible talent and understands all sides of the music business from having a hit song with “Water Dance” to his tremendous success as WPGC’s PM drive host.
