Ebro in the Morning Says a So-So Def and Bad Boy Showcase Is “Weak” Without a Competitive Battle (VIDEO)

Ebro in the Morning said a So So Def and Bad Boy music showcase is “weak” without a competitive battle. Laura Stylez said there was an interesting discussion between Diddy and Jermaine Dupri. Diddy suggested that they both take part in the hit-for-hit showcase.

Right now, they’re not dealing with Verzuz or Triller because Swizz Beats and Timbaland have many unresolved situations, said Stylez. Money is owed, so the suggestion was not to do a Triller event but to do their “own thing.”

“We don’t need to be going against each other. Let’s come together, and do that Bad Boy, So So Def in Atlanta at the time. It ain’t no Verzuz, it’s just hit for hit,” said Diddy.

Rosenberg said he felt the battle would be “weak.” Rosenberg said he doesn’t like when artists take away the battle aspect of Verzuz. Anyone can have a party and play music. The radio host said he wanted to see the competition and the back-and-forth battle to see who would win. However, Stylez disagreed.

“Hip-hop is competition, man; I get it; it’s not like folk music, man. It’s not jazz; you battle in hip hop. There’s nothing wrong with that,” said Rosenberg.

Rosenberg and Stylez agreed that if Jermaine Dupri and Puff Daddy did go through with a versus battle, it would be an exciting and entertaining show because Jermaine Dupri has a lot of hits attached to his name, and so does Sean John.
