The cast and filmmakers of Freakier Friday gathered in London earlier today for the film’s U.K. premiere. The event took place at the Odeon Leicester Square, where the stars mingled with local celebrities and influencers on the purple and green carpet. The screening was attended by over 790 guests.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan were on hand to reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman in the eagerly anticipated sequel to the beloved Disney classic. The new film picks up years after Tess and Anna’s identity swap, with Anna now a mother and soon-to-be stepmother. As they face the challenges of blending families, Tess and Anna find themselves caught in another identity crisis, proving that lightning might strike twice.
The movie, directed by Nisha Ganatra and based on the novel Freaky Friday by Mary Rodgers, also stars Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.
Produced by Kristin Burr, p.g.a., Andrew Gunn, p.g.a., and Jamie Lee Curtis, the film also counts Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin, and Lindsay Lohan among the executive producers. Freakier Friday will be released exclusively in theaters on August 8, 2025.
