CBS RADIO’s Fresh 102.5 (KEZK–FM) in St. Louis today announced Vic Porcelli, afternoon drive host on Fresh 102.5 for the past year, has agreed to a contract extension and a move to morning drive host weekdays from 5:00 – 9:00AM, CT, with the station. Porcelli can be heard on-air, online at www.fresh1025.com and through a variety of mobile devices including the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android.
“Vic has the ability to really relate to the audience in a way that you don’t see very often,””said Marty Linck, Program Director for CBS Radio’s Fresh 102.5 and Y98. “He has improved our ratings in afternoon drive over the past year, and he has a proven track record in morning drive, which made the decision to move him there an easy one.”
Porcelli said, “I am honored and thrilled to be offered such a coveted opportunity to be the new morning host at Fresh 102.5. I’ve lived on four hours of sleep before and I’m stoked to do it again!”
The morning show will feature a great variety of music, along with news, traffic and Porcelli’s unique perspective on entertainment and current events. A nationwide search is underway for his replacement in afternoon drive.
Porcelli has spent the last year as host of PM Drive on Fresh 102.5. Prior to joining Fresh 102.5, he was the AM Drive Host on WRPW 92.9 in Bloomington/Normal, IL. Porcelli is no stranger to the St. Louis air waves; he was heard on “The River””(WVRV) from 1993 to 2006 and then spent two years on-air on 550 KTRS before making the move to Bloomington/Normal. Porcelli got his start in radio in 1988 at WDHA-FM in Morristown, New Jersey and then moved to WMMR in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before he started his tenure in St. Louis.
Fresh 102.5 is “St. Louis’ Official At Work Station,””playing more music and better variety including Madonna, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Billy Joel, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Bryan Adams, Faith Hill, Lifehouse and more.
