Today, Harlem’s R&B Pop princess Journey Montana releases her new single, “Jack.”
“‘Hit The Road Jack’ by Ray Charles has been one of my favorite songs for most of my life, so I really wanted to put my own twist on it,” says Journey.
“On my version, ‘Jack’ represents hitting a breaking point and what happens when you realize enough is enough and it’s time to let that man go. This is a song about a woman choosing and trusting herself.”
The new track follows recent singles “Vendetta,” “Ain’t Mine” feat. Lay Bankz and “212,” a R&B love letter to the iconic New York area code Journey calls home featuring her hypnotic, confident croon.
Coupled with a stunning On The Radar freestyle and a From The Block performance of “Vendetta,” as well as a support slot alongside R&B singer Ann Marie’s summer tour, Journey has cemented herself as one to watch this year.
“Jack” continues her hard-hitting run, after last year’s breakout single “Bad Decisions,” which boasts over 2.8M streams after going viral on TikTok.
