Geremiah Lofton, a native of Port Arthur, TX, is a graduating senior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
Geremiah was recently selected to serve as an HBCU All-Star. White House HBCU All-Stars are appointed for one year to serve as ambassadors of the White House Initiative on HBCUs. The All-Stars provide outreach opportunities and communications to their fellow students about the value of education and the Initiative as a networking resource.
“My experience in Washington D.C., during the White House HBCU All-Star program summit was filled with excitement and joy with other bright HBCU All Stars across the country,” he said. “Leadership was the main takeaway from the summit. Every leader has a journey line. The journey line helps you realize how and where you are today.”
He added that touring the East Wing of the White House and learning more about inside of the White House was “amazing, and a experience I will never forget.”
One thing he said he enjoyed the most was being able to represent his family, his community and Huston-Tillotson University.
