Iconic music composer Burt Bacharach has died at the age of 94. Bacharach had a history of being a prolific writer and composer who is most familiar with his hitmaking work with Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones, Neil Diamond, the Carpenters, Christopher Cross, and BJ Thomas.
When you heard his songs you knew it was him. His sound was undeniable. Warwick started her career with Bacharach and Hal David and had some of he biggest hits in the 60s with the duo after coming to the studio while she was in college as a session singer for the duo.
They eventually invited her to showcase their material as a solo artist who recorded such hits as “Say a Little Prayer,” “Do You Know Your Way to San Jose,” and “Alfie” among others. Bacharach was once married to 70s sex symbol Angie Dickinson as well as another composer Carol Bayer Sager. Bacharach also worked with Ronald Isley on a project. See video below.
