The International Music Festival Conference (IMFCON) has appointed publishing executive Karen Godgart to the position of Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Ms. Godgart brings with her a wealth of experience in the publishing industry, including more than a decade as senior-level Advertising Sales Director at NewBay Media and Pro Sound News.Most recently, Karen founded and served as Publishing Director for the pioneering NewBay publication, Music Festival Business. Her passion for music is equalled by her enduring love of fashion, and her Belt it Out! line of accessories were regularly featured on MTV, VH1, and in Cosmopolitan, and sold in Bloomingdales and Fred Segal.In her new position as VP of Strategic Partnerships, Ms. Godgart will be directly involved in business development, and creating new relationships with IMFCON and its sister organization, the International Film Festival Summit (IFFS).
