The University of Minnesota athletic department and its exclusive multimedia rightsholder, iHEARTMEDIA MINNEAPOLIS’s Gopher Sports Properties, announced today a multi-year contract extension with iHeartMedia Minneapolis. This agreement will ensure radio coverage of Gopher Athletics across the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and worldwide via various streaming platforms through the 2026-27 athletic season.
Gopher fans in the Twin Cities will continue to find football games on KFAN FM 100.3, along with weekly shows featuring football head coach P.J. Fleck, and men’s basketball head coach Ben Johnson. KFAN is among the top-ranked radio sports stations in the country annually.
Men’s basketball will air on a mix of KFAN and also KTLK AM 1130/103.5 FM and Gopher men’s hockey can be heard exclusively on Twin Cities News Talk KTLK AM 1130/103.5 FM. Gopher Hockey Weekly with head coach Bob Motzko will also be heard on KTLK AM 1130/103.5 and on 96.7 FM KFAN+.
Women’s basketball game broadcasts will continue to air on 96.7 FM KFAN+. All women’s volleyball home matches will be broadcast next season on Hot 102.5 FM in the Twin Cities.
