Professional Diversity Network will present a series of Diversity Career Fair events across the country throughout the year. Each event will be held in partnership with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and is designed to help employers identify and connect with diverse candidates for employment.”At PDN, we know having a diverse workforce is a key factor in a company’s overall success,” said PDN President Star Jones. “We had more than 20 highly successful Diversity Career Fair events in 2015 that helped match employers in both the public and private sectors with strong, qualified diverse candidates, and we plan to duplicate that effort this year.”The slate kicks off with the 25th Anniversary Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Diversity Career Fair in Minneapolis on January 18. Aside from being a dedicated civil rights advocate, Dr. King believed in equal opportunity for all. A Diversity Career Fair in his name keeps his legacy alive. Each event is free to the general public. Several of the Diversity Career Fairs feature a Professional Networking Event (PNE) sponsored by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). The PNEs are exclusively for NAPW members. Ms. Jones, who is also President of NAPW, will attend the Career Fair and PNE events. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet other NAPW members, learn about VIP members’ products and services, and get the latest updates from Ms. Jones. The following Diversity Career Fair events are scheduled for Q1 2016:25th Anniversary MLK Jr. Holiday Diversity Career FairMonday, January 189am – NoonMinneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MNProfessional Technology Career Fair & PNETuesday, February 2311am – 1:30pmEmbassy Suites Crystal City, Washington, DCPNE11:30am – 1:30pmProfessional Technology Career Fair & PNETuesday, March 811am – 2pmCongress Plaza Hotel, Chicago, ILPNE11:30am – 1:30pmProfessional Technology Career Fair & PNEMonday, March 2111am – 2pmCrowne Plaza Perimeter at Ravinia, Atlanta, GAPNE11:30am – 1:30pm
