In his new post, Remsberg reports to Warner Records EVP, Promotion & Commerce Mike Chester and is based at the label’s LA headquarters. He will work closely with Chester in developing and executing the company’s new release and long-term sales strategy and artist campaigns across streaming, digital, and commercial platforms and accounts.

“Josh is one of the most respected and accompli

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Warner family,” said Josh Remsberg. “The energy in this company is amazing, with a brilliant roster and a unique, artist-focused vision of how to bring their music to fans everywhere. The industry is evolving rapidly, and I’m looking forward to helping this great label seize every opportunity to do world-class work in support of our talent. I want to thank MikeTom, and Aaron for this amazing opportunity.”

Prior to joining Warner Records, Remsberg spent his entire career at UMG. For the past seven years, he was with UMG’s Capitol Records, where he worked closely with artists such as Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Halsey, Niall Horan, and many others. He was also a co-leader of the company’s business development and innovation team. In 2020, Remsberg was tapped to head the label’s Commercial/Sales team as SVP.

Remsberg first joined UMG in 2001 as an 18-year old college representative at the University of Michigan. After college, he became a Field Rep for Geffen Records in Detroit. Working for UMG’s distribution arm, he later focused on the Republic and Motown labels, rising up the ranks to become a lead in UMGD’s marketing team before shifting to Capitol.
