Kathy Romano Returns to Philly Radio with New Morning Show

Kathy Romano is making a big return to Philadelphia radio, as she headlines The Kathy Romano Show on B101 (WBEB-FM), a popular Audacy station. The new show debuts on September 23, airing weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET. Co-hosting alongside Romano will be Bobby Smith, while Laura Boss serves as the executive producer.

Kathy Romano Returns to Philly Radio with New Morning Show

In addition to her morning show, Romano will also host a solo midday show from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET. This marks the next chapter in her long career in Philadelphia radio, where she has been a staple for over two decades.

David Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Audacy Philadelphia, shared his excitement, praising Romano for her relatability and deep community connection. He believes her energy and personality align perfectly with B101’s audience, ensuring an engaging experience for listeners each morning.

The Kathy Romano Show will be a blend of lifestyle content, engaging conversations, and uplifting features that aim to make Philadelphia’s mornings more enjoyable. Romano’s role as B101’s new “Queen Bee” is set to anchor the station’s refreshed morning programming.

The station’s new weekday lineup is:

6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. ET: The Kathy Romano Show with Bobby Smith and Laura Boss

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET: Kathy Romano

12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. ET: Bill Tafrow

Romano is stepping into her new role with a wealth of experience, having spent 22 years as part of Philly’s top-rated The Preston & Steve Show. She’s poised to bring her signature warmth, wit, and local charm to her new audience, continuing her legacy in Philadelphia radio.
