Four time Grammy award-winning hip hop music icon Lil Wayne will bring the first annual Lil WeezyAnaFest to New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 28th. Presented by Morris Bart, the one-evening event will take place at Bold Sphere Music at Chions Square and starts at 7 PM.A native of New Orleans, the city holds a special place for Lil Wayne Due to logistics out of his control, Wayne has not had the opportunity to take his celebrated live show to the city on his most recent major tours. For this special evening, lil wayne will be putting together a show that the city will not forget. The week of the concert also marks the ten-year anniversary of when Hurricane Katrina hit Wayne’s hometown. Having been highly involved in several charity projects in his hometown, Lil Wayne is furthering his philanthropic work in New Orleans by establishing Tha Carter Fund at the Greater New Orleans Foundation. In part to commemorate the anniversary, local nonprofits will receive grants to support their ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life in New Orleans after Katrina.The concert, which will be live streamed for fans exclusively on the TIDAL X platform for fans around the world, will feature several surprise guests and friends of Wayne. To add to the excitement, fans will be treated to a very rare performance by the New Orleans super-group Hot Boys. Performing together for the first time in over ten years, Wayne will be joined on stage by original members Juvenile and Turk, along with Mannie Fresh. With plans already in the works to make the event annual, it is Wayne’s hope that the festival will be a night where New Orleans residents and music fans alike can come out to enjoy great live music and pure entertainment for a special cause.
