Organizations Step Up to Provide Relief
In the face of this crisis, various music industry organizations have quickly mobilized to offer assistance and support to the impacted workers.
MusiCares: The Recording Academy’s philanthropic arm MusiCares is providing financial assistance, including $1,500 in aid and a $500 grocery card, to music professionals affected by the fires. MusiCares can also offer additional support for individuals with significant impact, such as damage to homes, medical issues, or lost music equipment.
We Are Moving the Needle Microgrants Wildfire Relief Fund: This fund is designed to support “early and mid-career producers, engineers, and creators who have lost studio space or gear” in the wildfires.
Entertainment Community Fund: The Entertainment Community Fund is offering emergency financial assistance to “eligible performing arts and entertainment professionals” who are “in times of unexpected critical need.” The fund can help with basic living expenses, including health care and housing.

Guitar Center Music Foundation: The foundation is offering support to LA-area musicians and music programs affected by the wildfires, providing grants to replace lost or damaged instruments.
Good Boy Records: The record label is opening its studio doors to any musician who has lost their recording space in the LA fires, allowing them to book time at the facility.
The Warner Music Group / Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund gave an initial $1 million commitment to the Los Angeles area fire relief and rebuilding efforts. The Fund will donate to vital organizations supporting the LA community, local first responders, and those in the music industry affected by the disaster. To ensure an immediate and lasting impact, the Fund will contribute to California Community Foundation, LAFD Foundation, Project HOPE, and MusiCares, among other organizations.
