MADEON’S SOPHOMORE ALBUM GOOD FAITH OUT NOW
Artist / producer Madeon has released his sophomore album Good Faith today via Columbia Records – listen HERE. The 10-track LP includes singles “Be Fine,” praised for its “big, sweeping melodies” by Billboard, “Dream Dream Dream,” which was named as “Best New Music This Week” by Complex and “All My Friends,” which reached No. 1 at Dance Radio. Good Faith is also available as a special edition vinyl with holographic cover, removable plastic sleeve and translucent disc. Speaking about the new album, Madeon says, “I’ve been living this album every day for years and now it’s time to share it. I wanted to capture the colors of this mysterious, sometimes dangerous joy I’ve been feeling in episodes lately. Those moments where reality feels more colorful, more profound, more spiritual, more fun than usual. I tried to illustrate that by welcoming into my world the sounds of humans, from large choirs to soloists, children and live musicians.”
He continues, “I also wanted to make an album that was more of an artist album than a producer album if that makes sense – so I wrote all the songs and am singing most of it. I grew from a teenager to an adult in the making of this album and my hope is that you find something to cherish there! I’ve been living in the Good Faith era for a couple of years and now it’s ours.”
In celebration of the album, Madeon is inviting fans to his Good Faith Pop-Up in Los Angeles this weekend. The pop-up will be open from 10am-6pm on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17 at Agency Coffee Company (7662 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90046) and will feature exclusive merch, limited edition Madeon products and a special surprise guest.
Fans can catch Madeon’s magnificent new live show on his Good Faith Live tour, which is currently underway. The headline tour continues its trek across North America with two sold-out shows this weekend at Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall and will make stops in major markets including New York and Washington, DC with many dates sold out. Good Faith, the new era of Madeon, follows his debut album Adventure and his massive collaborative project with Porter Robinson, “Shelter.” Adventure was released in 2015 to critical praise from press including Pitchfork, who noted that “on the path to what feels like something huge, Madeon’s journey is just beginning” and The Fader, who described it as “expansive, impossibly beautiful…one of the most radiant pop albums in recent memory.” Adventure was also featured on various “Best of 2015” lists including Complex, who pronounced it “an audio journey that can best be described as rapturous.”
