A man plunged from an escalator and died at The Weeknd’s concert. The attendee fell from the escalator rail at the performer’s Philadelphia tour-opening show.
The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed to The Post that on July 14, at the Lincoln Financial Field, the unidentified concertgoer fell about 40 feet and suffered head trauma.
The 32-year-old man was ruTravis Scott’s deadly Astroworld Festival, which left 10 people dead, and hundreds injured.
The man’s fall appeared accidental, police told the outlet, following an investigation.
After the concert, as people were leaving the building, the accident likely happened, Bob Lange, senior vice president of communications for the Philadelphia Eagles football team, which operates Lincoln, said.

The show was initially scheduled to start at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, however, because of a nationwide power outage, the show was postponed, and Philadelphia became the opening concert.
The Weeknd’s loyal fans patiently waited long hours for the much-anticipated concert in 2020, which had to be rescheduled twice because of the pandemic.
