**Raleigh Man Shoots Two Over Missing Inheritance Cash**
RALEIGH, NC — A dispute over missing inheritance money has escalated into violence, leaving two men injured after a shooting in a quiet neighborhood on Saturday afternoon. The gunfire erupted around 2 PM in the vicinity of North Hills, where a 36-year-old man confronted two acquaintances over alleged funds missing from a recently deceased relative’s estate.
According to Raleigh police, the suspect, identified as Aaron Jenkins, had been in a heated argument with the two victims, both in their 30s, prior to the shooting. Witnesses reported hearing shouting before multiple gunshots rang out, sending residents into a panic.
“I heard three or four shots and then saw people running,” said one local resident who wished to remain anonymous. “It was terrifying to think something like this could happen around here.”
Emergency responders arrived on the scene moments later, finding both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. They were swiftly transported to WakeMed, where their conditions have since stabilized. Authorities have not released their identities but confirmed that both men are expected to survive.
Jenkins fled the scene but was apprehended by police a short distance away. He now faces multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. A motive appeared rooted in a family feud over the late relative’s estate, according to law enforcement sources.
“This kind of senseless violence is unacceptable,” said Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown at a press briefing. “We urge the community to resolve disputes peacefully and seek mediation before resorting to aggression.”
As the investigation continues, Jenkins remains in custody, with a court appearance scheduled for later this week.
