BMI hosted an exciting edition of its Rooftop On The Row series on August 12, featuring rising stars Max McNown and Vincent Mason. The event, which took place in front of an enthusiastic crowd of over 500 industry professionals, was introduced by BMI’s Mason Hunter. Attendees gathered to experience a night filled with country music and captivating performances by these talented artists.
Vincent Mason, signed to Interscope Records/MCA Nashville, set the tone for the night with his genuine storytelling and impressive vocals. He kicked off his set with the heartfelt “Train of Thought” and “Painkiller.” His performance continued with his current hit, “Damned If I Do,” co-written with Jacob Hackworth and Lauren Hungate, followed by “Wish You Well.” The crowd was especially drawn to his viral single, “Hell Is A Dance Floor,” which has already garnered millions of streams across social media platforms.
Max McNown, signed to Columbia Records, took the stage next, bringing his soulful songwriting and positive melodies to Music City. McNown performed tracks from his latest album Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up), including the song “Forever Ain’t Long Enough.” One highlight of his set was a surprise appearance by Avery Anna, who joined him for a special performance of “Turned Into Missing You.” McNown’s set also included his fan favorites “Love Me Back” and the GOLD-certified hit “A Lot More Free,” both of which continue to climb the Billboard Hot 100.
The event, which was presented by George Dickel Whisky, featured a lively atmosphere with food, beverages, and offerings from event sponsors like Delta Air Lines, Fat Bottom Brewing Co., First Horizon, Gallagher Insurance, Red Bull Jukebox, Texas Roadhouse, White Claw, YETI, and Xperi. This annual event has previously showcased some of country music’s biggest stars, including Morgan Wallen, Billy Strings, and HARDY.
