MCT Expands with New COO and General Counsel Jordan Lichtman

Lichtman will lead the company’s corporate operations, as well as its legal and business affairs across MCT and its expanding portfolio. This includes its work with Row K Entertainment and Eli Roth’s The Horror Section.

Before joining MCT, Lichtman served as General Counsel at Artists Equity, where he played a key role in negotiating major corporate and content acquisition transactions.

His notable work included deals for The Accountant 2 (Amazon), Unstoppable (Amazon), Small Things Like These, and Night Watchman (Lionsgate), among others. Lichtman’s career also includes nearly a decade at STX Entertainment as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Associate General Counsel, where he was integral to managing the company’s theatrical slate financing and international deals.

He began his career at O’Melveny & Myers before moving to Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, representing major entertainment entities.

MCT’s co-founders, Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh, expressed their excitement about Lichtman’s appointment, noting his extensive experience in building innovative entertainment companies.

His legal and strategic expertise is seen as a key asset as MCT expands its footprint in production, distribution, and new media sectors.

Lichtman shared his enthusiasm for MCT’s future, emphasizing the company’s nimble, collaborative approach in an ever-evolving entertainment landscape. He looks forward to contributing to the company’s continued success as it becomes a leading innovator in the industry.

Founded in 2019, MCT focuses on structured finance, corporate transactions, and venture incubation. It manages investment vehicles, operates a growing portfolio, and is supported by institutional investors such as MassMutual, which acquired a stake in the company in 2021.

MCT has been a key partner in co-financing Lionsgate’s film slate since 2023, contributing to projects such as Ballerina, Flight Risk, The Long Walk, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and Saw X.

In early 2025, MCT collaborated with filmmaker Eli Roth to launch The Horror Section, a media company dedicated to creating a premier horror brand and building a valuable intellectual property library.

Notable upcoming projects include Roth’s Ice Cream Man, which was acquired by international buyers at Cannes and will be released widely in 2026, and Don’t Go in That House, Bitch!, which features Snoop Dogg as a producer, writer, and performer on the original soundtrack.

In August 2025, MCT launched Row K Entertainment, a U.S. theatrical distribution company designed to meet the modern distribution market’s demands. Row K’s 2026 slate includes titles like Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire, Maude Apatow’s Poetic License, Jaume Collet-Serra’s Cliffhanger, and Charlie Harper, directed by Tom Dean and Mac Eldridge.
