A man was apprehended by the Memphis Police (MPD) for attempting to sell a stolen car on Facebook. A 2011 Nissan Versa was taken from an individual at gunpoint on January 17 by two unknown men, according to the MPD.

The stolen car had specific stickers on the hood and rear door and a week later, officers found a Facebook post offering the same car for sale. Stevon Gordon, aged 28, was attempting to sell the stolen car on Facebook, when the police reached out to him and arranged to buy it.

When Gordon was on his way to sell the car, the police pulled him over and found the stolen Nissan Versa valued at $5,276. Gordon was charged with theft of property between $2,500 and $10,000.
