Judge Ingram’s Recusal
Judge Shakira Ingram, who was recently appointed to preside over the YSL racketeering case, has recused herself. The reason for her recusal is tied to the arrest of a Fulton County deputy who was previously assigned to her courtroom. This deputy was in a relationship with former co-defendant Christian Eppinger. Although Eppinger is no longer part of the trial, Judge Ingram decided to disqualify herself to avoid any public perception of partiality.
Previous Judge’s Removal
Prior to Judge Ingram’s appointment, the presiding judge, Judge Glanville, was removed from the case. This removal occurred after significant contention between Judge Glanville, who is Fulton County’s Chief Superior Court Judge, and the defense attorneys.
Current Status
As of now, there is no information on when a third judge will be appointed to the case. The trial remains in a state of uncertainty due to the ongoing need for judicial reassignment.
