Pandora, the leading internet radio service, announced today that David Gerbitz will join the company as Executive Vice President of Revenue Operations, effective July 7th. Separately, General Counsel Delida Costin notified the company that she will be departing the company at the end of September.
“We are very excited to welcome David to Pandora, where he will apply his formidable talent towards moving our market-leading advertising platform forward”
Mr. Gerbitz will lead Pandora’s Revenue Operations team, which includes Sales Operations, Pricing & Yield Management and Advertising Operations. He joins Pandora after successful stints with several major technology leaders, including Microsoft and Amazon, and was most recently Vice President of Global Mid-Market and Small Medium Business Sales at Yahoo. Mr. Gerbitz is an expert at managing complex and fast-growing sales operations at scale, and his addition will further deepen Pandora’s strong expertise and experience in this area. He will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team and report directly to CEO Brian McAndrews. In this newly created role, Gerbitz will be responsible for the successful implementation of Pandora’s advertising products. He will work alongside Chief Revenue Officer John Trimble, who will continue leading Pandora’s sales team to advance Pandora’s monetization priorities.
“We are very excited to welcome David to Pandora, where he will apply his formidable talent towards moving our market-leading advertising platform forward,” said CEO Brian McAndrews. “At the same time, I am sad to see Delida Costin leave the company. Delida has been a valuable member of our team throughout many of the most significant events to date, including our IPO in 2011. We wish her all the best as she pursues the next step in her career.”
Ms. Costin will be continuing in her role as General Counsel and as an Officer of the company until the end of July. After that, she will act in an advisory capacity until the end of September. An external search will be conducted to fill the role.
