Prince Surprise Performance at the Dakota Jazz Club
Dakota Jazz Club and Restaurant in Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis, MN will host the last of a four night engagement by the artist, entitled Three NIghts With Prince, and tonight’s finale: DJ Set By DJ Rashida and Prince. According to drfunkenberry.com, Prince has completed two shows per night for three nights this week. The week also was to include auditions for a new drummer. Sheila E. drummed in Prince’s band off and on from 1984 until her 2011 announcement on Twitter that she would not be performing with him anymore. Tonight’s show is $25 per person, and a representative from the club/restaurant states maximum capacity is merely 290 to 300 people. Prince’s most recent tour entitled “Welcome 2” concluded last year in Chicago, IL on Sept. 26th.
