The Queens Tour, powered by the Black Promoters Collective, kicked off in spectacular fashion, featuring legendary music icons Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Stephanie Mills, and Gladys Knight. The opening weekend across Las Vegas, Oakland, and Los Angeles was filled with historic performances, standing ovations, and a celebration of cultural heritage.
One of the most unforgettable moments came during the Los Angeles show when Stevie Wonder made a surprise appearance in the mezzanine, before making his way to the stage to perform “Tell Me Something Good” alongside Chaka Khan. This spontaneous collaboration thrilled the audience, as the two GRAMMY® winners delivered the iconic track, which helped propel Rufus featuring Chaka Khan to their first GRAMMY® in 1975 for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus.
The energy was electric as the crowd erupted with excitement, a testament to the timeless magic of live music. The Queens Tour continues to celebrate the unparalleled legacies of these four vocal powerhouses, offering a rare opportunity to see their greatness united on one stage.
