RAB Names Erica Farber President and CEO Jeff Haley Embarking on a New Venture
New York, New York ““ April 3, 2012 — Erica Farber has been named the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) it was announced today by Scott Herman, Chairman of the RAB Board and Executive Vice President, Operations, CBS RADIO.Farber, most recently Executive Vice President of the organization, will assume the RAB leadership post on April 16th. Jeff Haley who has led the organization for the last five years is leaving to pursue a new opportunity. Under Haley’s stewardship, the RAB has forged stronger relationships within the advertising marketplace and reshaped the organization into a full-service integrated membership, business development and training concern.Haley recruited Farber in late 2011 to establish a cohesive membership and services practice within the RAB. Farber’s selection comes with the endorsement of the RAB Board which includes representation from a broad group of radio broadcasters across the US.According to Herman, “Erica is an excellent selection with the relevant skills and expertise to lead the RAB. During her fifteen year tenure at Radio & Records, Farber held various positions including COO, President, Publisher and CEO. Prior to that Farber rose through the ranks at the INTEREP Companies and served as Executive Vice President/Radio Development Director.In 2000, Ms. Farber received an American Broadcast Pioneer Award from the Broadcasters’ Foundation and has consistently been voted one of “The Most Influential Women in Radio” by the readers of Radio Ink Magazine.
