UPDATE: A source on the scene stated the rapper and the suspect were allegedly arguing over a piece of candy which led to the shooting.
Atlanta police confirm that rapper Mario “Slim Dunkin” Hamilton was fatally gunned down after he was shot in the chest in a music studio Friday around 5:30PM as he prepared to record a video. Detectives state that “It appeared the victim was scheduled to do a photo shoot when he allegedly got into an argument before the shoot took place. It was a verbal altercation and the subject matter was not confirmed by police at presstime. What police do know is that the suspect produced a weapon, discharged that handgun one time, striking the victim in the chest.” He was then transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
