SAG-AFTRA Announces Los Angeles Member Orientation with RSVP Deadline of August 19

SAG-AFTRA is hosting a Los Angeles Member Orientation, with an RSVP deadline of August 19 at 12 noon PT. The orientation aims to educate new members about the union’s structure, contracts, and benefits to support their careers in the entertainment industry.

L.A. Local Member Orientation

Deadline to RSVP is August 19 at 12 noon PT.

We’d love to meet you at our next SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Member Orientation. It’s fun to meet and get to know the members who are just getting started as well as those that are helping to orientate you as you grow in your career.

Being a member of the union is so much more powerful than you may realize. You’re now part of the entertainment labor movement, part of an army to protect and increase the value of our art, part of a family of 160,000 members nationwide that have each others’ backs, and you now have another place to call home.

In order to take advantage of every way your membership in the union can support your success, it is vitally important that you understand how your union works and how you can and should get involved.

A member orientation is the first step to learning everything you need to know.

In the orientation, we’ll cover:

  • How your union is set up and governed here in Los Angeles and across the country.
  • Contracts – what you need to know to feel safe, respected, and not losing money.
  • Benefits of membership – education, networking, healthcare and pension.
  • Membership rules.
  • The categories of performers covered by the union.
  • Sister unions, guilds, organizations and associations that support our membership.

Plus, we’ll answer your questions in a relaxed, open forum.

RSVP Required: Log in to see the form below and RSVP by August 19 at 12 noon PT.

Please note: You will receive your unique Zoom information the day before the meeting from SAG AFTRA LA Local <>. If you have trouble joining the Zoom meeting, please email or call (855) 724-2387.
