Radio: Becoming more responsive to media environment.
Salem Communications Corporation ““a U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider, and magazine and book publisher of Christian and family-themed content ““ announced a strategic restructuring of company executive officer positions effective Jan. 1, 2010.
As part of the changes designed to make the Camarillo based company more responsive to the rapidly changing media environment, the current President of the Radio Division Joe Davis will assume the role of Senior Advisor to the CEO, Special Projects and Strategic Development.
In his new role, Davis will be responsible for developing new national content for Salem’s Christian Teaching and Talk stations, for assisting Salem’s existing ministry clients to improve the yield from their media ministries, and for taking on strategic projects as directed by the CEO, according to Edward G. Atsinger III, chief executive officer.
“With his long radio history and strong relationships with Salem’s ministry partners, Joe is uniquely qualified to take on this new responsibility,” he said.
Davis joined Salem in 1989 and has provided oversight to Salem’s Radio Division since 2001. He has also served as Salem’s Chief Operating Officer.
David Santrella will be taking his place, and has been promoted to President, Radio Division.
