Paramount+ with SHOWTIME has officially renewed the critically acclaimed documentary series Couples Therapy for a fifth season, following a +30% increase in cross-platform viewership for the Season 4B premiere compared to the previous season’s debut.

Season 4B premiered on May 23, 2025, and all episodes are now available to stream on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. The series continues to follow renowned psychologist and psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik as she works with couples in real-life therapy sessions. By offering an unfiltered look at the struggles and breakthroughs within relationships, Couples Therapy provides a rare, intimate view into the therapeutic process.
Since its debut, the series has earned widespread critical acclaim and industry recognition. Couples Therapy won the Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming in 2021 and the American Cinema Editors (ACE) Award for Best Edited Non-Scripted Series in 2024. It has also received nominations from the International Documentary Association, 2023 TCA Awards, 2025 ACE Awards, Cinema Eye Honors, and Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Produced by Edgeline Films, the series is executive produced by Sundance Award-winning filmmakers Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg, and Eli Despres (Weiner, Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show), alongside Vinnie Malhotra. Producers for Season 4B include Matt Parker, Bennett Elliott, and Carly Hugo, with direction from Pax Wassermann and Bennett Elliott. The show is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
