Snoop Dogg, the undisputed king of West Coast rap, is set to celebrate a monumental milestone in his illustrious career – the 30th anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album, Doggystyle.
Originally released on November 23rd in 1993, this iconic masterpiece redefined hip-hop and catapulted Snoop Dogg to superstardom and helped define the sound of Los Angeles.
In a special twist for this anniversary celebration, the rare and long-sought-after track, “Gz Up Hoes Down,” which was exclusively available on the album’s initial 100,000 units in 1993, will be included in this package from Death Row Records/gamma.
Out on Black Friday, November 24th, Doggystyle will be available on vinyl and digitally across all DSPs globally and via shop.thegamma.com, with the pre-order live everywhere today.
Vinyl in special color variants will be on offer to fans across multiple retailers. A gold foil cover and clear/cloudy blue vinyl will be available exclusively at Walmart while clear and black smoke vinyl can be purchased through Amazon; indie retailers will have green and black smoke vinyl; clear vinyl and black vinyl will be widely available.
