Police are investigating the death of Javier Osorio Mejia, a well-known sneaker reseller, who was shot multiple times outside a row of luxury stores in SoHo. Mejia, better known as Upscale Crack, was a 31-year-old entrepreneur deeply rooted in the sneaker community.
Details of the Shooting
The shooting occurred at around 5:15 a.m. while Mejia was driving his Range Rover down Green Street. He was shot three times in the right leg and subsequently rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he later died.

Police reported that the suspect fled in a black SUV but left Mejia’s cash, car, and trademark lime green Nikes behind. The area was cordoned off with crime scene tape as investigators examined shell casings and searched for more evidence on the cobblestone streets.
