Splice, the leading marketplace for the sounds and samples, is delivering on their AI and technology promise by building a deep technology leadership bench.
Renowned software leader Kevin Stewart is set to join Splice as Senior Vice President of Engineering and former Adobe executive David Ericksen has been named Senior Vice President of Product at the company.
Both executives will report to Splice CEO, Kakul Srivastava who joined the company in May having held leadership roles at Adobe, GitHub, WeWork and Yahoo.
“Both of these leaders bring an incredible breadth of experience and expertise to our team at Splice,” said Ms. Srivastava. “David and Kevin are experts in building products for creative people and will help us accelerate innovation to deliver even better and more powerful experiences for music creators at scale.”
Kevin Stewart has a proven track record as a groundbreaking software leader. Most recently having served as Vice President of Engineering at Harvest, Kevin previously led engineering at innovative companies like Fastly, Heptio and NodeSource.
Kevin also helped drive the industry-changing move from perpetual software to Creative Cloud while spending more than a decade at Adobe.
“Integrating the deep musical knowledge that exists at Splice with the appropriate use of enabling technology will empower creators even more. Splice’s vision for the future is incredibly inspiring and my aim is to help the team deliver on that vision,” said Mr. Stewart.
David Ericksen joins Splice from Adobe where he was Senior Director of Product Management. He enjoyed a long and successful tenure at the company, beginning in 2009, working with Srivastava on such products as Creative Cloud, mobile apps and on the SaaS team that created Adobe Creative Suite.
“The opportunity to empower and inspire creators around the world is very exciting to me. Fortunately Splice already captures the imagination of music producers everywhere. I’m excited to make music technology increasingly simple and incredibly effective,” said Mr. Ericksen.
