On Tuesday’s edition of The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1, the donkey of the day was Darius Miles.
University of Alabama basketball player Darius Miles, 21, and Michael Lynn Davis, 20, were charged with capital murder in the death of Jamea Jonae Harris, 23, on January 15, 2023. The shooting occurred on the Strip in Tuscaloosa, and none of the parties involved were affiliated with the University.
The incident began as a minor argument between the suspects and the victim, and the shooting was determined to have occurred in the 400 Block of Grace Street. Miles was ruled out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury and was arrested and charged in the incident.
The shooting occurred on the morning of January 15, 2023, and the police were dispatched to the Walk of Champions at Bryant Denny Stadium, where they found Harris dead in a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stated that their vehicle had been struck by gunfire and that they had returned fire in self-defense. The driver also said that they may have struck a suspect.
After speaking with multiple witnesses and viewing video surveillance, the investigators identified Miles and Davis as the suspects. They were located and interviewed. One suspect was found to have been struck by gunfire and had a non-life-threatening wound. The incident was determined to have been the result of a minor argument between the suspects and the victim.
