A total of 10 schools have been named as GRAMMY Signature Schools for 2013, with 6 schools across the country receiving an Enterprise Award for 2013. The Enterprise Award category recognizes efforts made by schools that are economically underserved. Each of the 10 GRAMMY Signature Schools selected in 2013 will receive a custom award and a monetary grant to benefit its music program. The top three schools are designated Gold recipients. The best of the Gold recipients is named the National GRAMMY Signature School. The National GRAMMY Signature School will receive $10,000, and the two remaining Gold schools each will receive $5,500. One remaining GRAMMY Signature Schools recipient will receive a grant award of $2,000 to benefit their music programs.In addition, top music industry professionals will discuss the realities of the music business and careers in music with high school students at GRAMMY Camp ““ Basic Training, a GRAMMY in the Schools ® initiative of the GRAMMY Foundation. This event is made possible with generous support provided by the Ford Motor Company Fund.
