The Mix Group Experiences Unprecedented Growth in Revenues in 2016

Omar Fajardo Appointed to Lead Newly Created Affiliate Relations Department

theindustry.bizMIAMI, January 31, 2017 – In 2016, The Mix Group put up unparalleled numbers, growing revenues by nearly 70 percent. To meet demand and build on this momentum, The Mix Group President Jason Garte launched an Affiliate Relations department and promoted Omar Fajardo to lead it as Vice President of Affiliate Relations. In recognition of Fajardo’s proven ability to super-serve the company’s 1,200 radio station clients in his former role of Operations Director, he will now serve as the liaison between The Mix Group and all stations, overseeing contract negotiations and the day-to-day operations of the department. Additionally, Luis Portuondo shifts into the role of Affiliate Relations Manager and Alex Rosario is named Affiliate Services Manager. President of The Mix Group Jason Garte comments, “I’m humbled by the trust our stations have in us and how we’ve been able to grow this much in the last year. That trust is a direct result of the entire Mix family and especially Omar, Luis and Alex because they’re on their A-game 24/7, ready to do whatever it takes to exceed expectations. I love these guys and that love is even bigger than Mix…they’re my boys.” Prior to joining The Mix Group in 2012, Fajardo was a promotions director and talent coordinator working with 11 television shows including The Roof, which aired on Telemundo to an audience of 20 million. Portuondo began working with The Mix Group on a fulltime basis after graduating from Florida International University last year. He also continues his work as a volunteer camp counselor for the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, which he has done for the last four years.
