The #New28, a power dinner and ceremony, presented and sponsored by Walgreens and African Pride, recognized 28 influencers during Black History Month who are bold, brave, and brilliant in their approach at changing the world through their art.#New28 Honorees in attendance included Yvonne Orji (HBO’s “Insecure”), Lil’Mama, Grammy Award Winning Recording Artist Goo Goo Atkins, Logan Browning (VH1’s “Hit the Floor” and Netflix’s “Dear White People”), Kendrick Sampson (ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder”), Steve Jones (Brand Maverick Entertainment), Michael Moss (BET Networks), Cee Barrett (BMI Records) and Angelica Nwandu (Founder, TheShadeRoom).
