Elroy R.C. Smith to Present Radio Needs Personalities-Not DJs Session
Sizzle Productions announced their top super sessions to be headlined by some of the country’s top programmers for this year’s I Rock The Mic Conference & Awards (IRTM). Radio programmers ; Derrick Baker, PD of WEDR, Miami; Vinny Brown, OM/PD of WBLS, New York; Ken Johnson, VP of Urban Programming, Cumulus Media; Terry Monday, VP of Programming, Perry Broadcasting; and Reggie Rouse, VP of Urban Programming, CBS Radio will share their take on radio programming challenges and opportunities for the super session moderated by Jerry Boulding, Urban Editor, All Access Music Group. Boulding will moderate the session that will focus on Long List vs. Short List – The Fusion of the Format focusing on the length of playlists, the proper mix of music and how it will be affected by Arbitron’s new PPM. Urban programming legend, Elroy R.C. Smith will lead radio personality super session on Radio Needs Personalities-Not DJs focusing on the big question, are you a radio personality or a radio DJ? The interactive discussion will explore the differences between personalities and DJs and why personalities have a stronger chance of survival and career success in the radio business.
