Tragic Fort Worth Murder: Victim’s Family Shares Heartfelt Grief (Video)

A horrifying incident unfolded in Fort Worth, Texas, when a man named Dylan Jones allegedly killed his girlfriend, Ariel Levy, before leading police on a dangerous multi-city chase. According to police reports, Jones, who was armed with a gun and driving a stolen vehicle, shot and killed Levy in her apartment. He then fled the scene, stealing her SUV and cell phone, which initiated a violent pursuit through several cities in Tarrant County.

Tragic Fort Worth Murder: Victim's Family Shares Heartfelt Grief

The Crime Scene and Jones’s Claim of “Blacking Out”

The events began on Monday evening when Fort Worth police were called to a home in South Fort Worth. The caller reported that Dylan Jones had shown up at their residence, claiming he had “blacked out” and killed his girlfriend, Ariel Levy. Disturbingly, the caller also noted the presence of blood underneath Jones’s fingernails, further linking him to the crime. By the time the police arrived at the caller’s house, Jones had already left, but he wasn’t far.

The Chase: High Speeds and Reckless Driving

Shortly after leaving the caller’s house, Jones was spotted driving the stolen SUV, which led to a high-speed chase. Police attempted to pull him over, but he took off, triggering a dangerous 40-minute pursuit through the streets of Tarrant County. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with dozens of police vehicles trailing Jones’s SUV at speeds reaching up to 90 miles per hour. The chase involved driving through red lights, traveling on the wrong side of the road, and weaving through traffic at high speeds, putting both the officers and the public at significant risk.

A witness, Tracy Jordan, captured the scene on video, recording the alarming sight of police cars rushing through neighborhoods. The chase continued through several towns, but officers managed to deploy stop sticks, which eventually caused Jones to halt his vehicle. As Jones came to a stop, police used a taser to subdue him, taking him into custody without further incident.

The Discovery of the Murder

While the chase was underway, Fort Worth police had already begun investigating the crime scene at Levy’s apartment. Officers arrived at the couple’s complex, located near Highway 287 and Blue Mound Road, and discovered the grim aftermath of the shooting. They forced entry into Levy’s apartment and found her lying lifeless in the bedroom. She had suffered a gunshot wound, which ultimately caused her death. A shell casing was found next to her, matching the firearm that was recovered from Jones’s stolen vehicle.

Evidence Points to Dylan Jones as the Suspect

As detectives continued to piece together the events, they found additional evidence linking Jones to the murder. Inside the stolen SUV, they discovered Levy’s cell phone along with a handgun, further confirming that Jones had been involved in her death. Additionally, forensic analysis revealed dried blood under Jones’s fingernails, suggesting that he had been directly involved in the act of violence against Levy.

The Family’s Heartbreaking Loss

Ariel Levy’s family was devastated by the news of her death. In a statement to the media, they shared a photo of Levy, expressing their sorrow over the loss of a mother, daughter, and sister. The family particularly mourned the impact of Levy’s death on her two young children, who will now grow up without their mother. In the wake of her tragic death, the family and community have been left to cope with the emotional fallout of this senseless act of violence.

Jones Faces Serious Charges

Dylan Jones, now in police custody, faces serious charges in connection with the murder of Ariel Levy. In addition to the murder charge, Jones is also facing charges related to the high-speed chase, including evading arrest and reckless driving. The police affidavit detailing the arrest provides a chilling account of Jones’s actions, including his claim that he “blacked out” before killing Levy. However, the evidence collected at the scene, including the blood under his fingernails and the gun found in the stolen SUV, strongly suggests that Jones is responsible for the brutal killing.

As the legal process unfolds, the case has drawn attention to the dangers posed by individuals who, in moments of rage or instability, are capable of committing violent acts. For Levy’s family, the pain of her loss will never be fully erased, and her death serves as a grim reminder of the potential for violence in domestic relationships. This case has left many questioning the circumstances surrounding the relationship between Jones and Levy, as well as the true nature of the events that led to her untimely death.

Fort Worth police are continuing their investigation into the case, and Jones is expected to face a court hearing soon, where further details of the crime and the charges against him will be revealed.
