The undefeated German boxer, Musa Askan Yamak, suffered a heart attack and died during a boxing match on Saturday, according to a Turkish official.
While facing Ugandan veteran Hamza Wandera in Munich, Germany, the 38-year-old fighter collapsed in the ring and died.
“We lost our compatriot Musa Askan Yamak, a boxer from Alucra, who won European and Asian championships at a young age after a heart attack,” said Hasan Turan via Twitter.

According to reports, Yamak suffered a hard punch by Wandera in the second round of the fight. According to published reports, the undefeated boxer tried to continue the fight for the third round.
However, Yamak dropped in the ring before the third round could begin.
As onlookers watched in disbelief, medics rushed to revive the light-heavyweight fighter to no avail.
Yamak was sent to a local hospital and was pronounced dead from a heart attack.
The undefeated boxer toted an 8-0 record with eight knockouts.
In 2017, the Turkish-born Yamak turned pro. He did not gain popularity until 2021, when he won the WBFed International title.
