ZOEY DEUTCH Stars in “THE THREESOME” by Chad Hartigan

Academy Award-Nominated production banner, Star Thrower Entertainment (King Richard) announced today that Zoey Deutch (Not Okay, “The Politician”), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid, “World on Fire”), and Ruby Cruz (Bottoms, “Mare of Easttown”) will star alongside Jaboukie Young-White (“Rap Sh!t”, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken) and Josh Segarra (Scream IV, “The Other Two”) in Chad Hartigan’s high-concept, character-driven romantic comedy The Threesome. Based on a script by Ethan Ogilby, principal photography recently wrapped in Arkansas.

The film is produced by Tim White and Trevor White for Star Thrower Entertainment, Vince Jolivette for Filmopoly, and Steven Shapiro for Jupiter Peak. Deutch will also serve as an executive producer, alongside Jupiter Peak’s Liz & Ken Whitney, Filmopoly’s Angie Sanfilippo and David Garrett, and Allan Mandelbaum. CAA Media Finance will handle domestic rights and Mister Smith will represent international.

The Threesome explores the aftermath of one impulsive, seemingly innocuous decision. When a young man’s perennial crush leads him into an unexpected threesome, he thinks it’s his ultimate fantasy come true. But when the fantasy ends, all three are left with sobering real-world consequences, forcing them to take responsibility for their actions — even if it means compromising the lives they’ve always envisioned.

Deutch recently wrapped Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2 and Jan Komasa’s The Anniversary. Deutch gained notice for her work in the 2018 breakout romantic comedy Set It Up opposite Glen Powell. Most recently, Deutch starred in and produced both the dark comedy Not Okay for Hulu, as well as Something from Tiffany’s for Amazon Studios.

Other notable credits include The Outfit alongside Mark Rylance, the Netflix series “The Politician,” Zombieland: Double Tap for Columbia Pictures, Magnolia Pictures’ BuffaloedFlowerBefore I FallWhy Him?, and Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some. Deutch is represented by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox.

British actor Hauer-King most recently starred as Prince Eric in Rob Marshall’s live action remake of The Little Mermaid,opposite Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy. Further credits include critically acclaimed BBC series “World on Fire” which stars Hauer-King as the lead Harry Chase opposite Lesley Manville, and “Little Women”alongside Emily Watson and Maya Hawke. Upcoming, Hauer-King will lead “The Tattooist of Auschwitz,” a series for Sky and Peacock. Based on Heather Morris’ 2018 best-selling novel and a true story, Jonah will take on the role of Lale.

He is set to star in Nick Hamm’s William Tell opposite Ellie Bamber and Connor Swindells and Rich Flu, alongside Rafe Spall. Hauer-King is repped by CAA, United Agents, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein.

Cruz is best known for starring in the Disney+ series “Willow,” which served as a sequel to the 1988 film of the same name. She has also appeared in such lauded series as HBO’s “Mare of Easttown,” which earned four Emmys® and one Golden Globe award. She made her feature film debut in 2023 in Emma Seligman’s acclaimed MGM comedy Bottoms. Cruz is represented by the Independent Artist Group, Landsburg Management and Narrative PR.
