BMI hosted the second installment of its signature Rooftop On The Row concert series, presented by George Dickel Whisky. The event featured powerhouse performances by GRAMMY Award-winner Lukas Nelson and rising country star Kaitlin Butts.

Held atop BMI’s Nashville office, the evening offered attendees a vibrant mix of live music, complimentary food, and beverages, courtesy of event sponsors including George Dickel Whisky, Delta Air Lines, Fat Bottom Brewing Co., First Horizon, Gallagher Insurance, Red Bull Jukebox, Texas Roadhouse, White Claw, YETI, and Xperi.

Now in its seventh season, the series kicked off with a set from DJ Smoke before BMI’s Mason Hunter took the stage to introduce Kaitlin Butts. A proud Oklahoma native and 2025 Opry NextStage Class member, Butts leaned into her Western roots with songs like “White River,” “Roadrunner,” and “Other Girls (Ain’t Havin’ Any Fun).” She captivated the crowd with her wit and emotional storytelling on her viral fan-favorite, “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me).”

Headliner Lukas Nelson followed with a preview of his upcoming debut solo album American Romance, set for release on June 20 via Sony Music Nashville. He opened with “Ain’t Done,” “Outsmarted,” and “Pretty Much,” delivering a powerful blend of heartfelt lyrics and genre-defying sound. In a special moment, Nelson welcomed Butts back to the stage for a duet of his hit “Find Yourself,” then closed the night with an acoustic performance of the album’s title track, “American Romance.”

BMI’s Rooftop On The Row continues on July 15 with performances by Tucker Wetmore and Tanner Adell, followed by Vincent Mason and Max McNown on August 12. The series will conclude on September 9 with a special AMERICANAFEST kickoff show, with the lineup for that event to be announced soon.

Since its inception, Rooftop On The Row has showcased a diverse array of artists, including Morgan Wallen, Billy Strings, The War And Treaty, HARDY, K. Michelle, Riley Green, Colbie Caillat, Wyatt Flores, Ella Langley, Maddie and Tae, LOCASH, Dylan Marlowe, and Mitchell Tenpenny.
