Incident Overview
A shootout occurred in southwest Miami-Dade outside a grocery store on Sunday around 3 a.m. The incident was captured on surveillance video and shows two vehicles coming to a stop at an intersection. The driver and passenger of one vehicle began shooting, critically injuring a person.
Surveillance Video Details
The video footage shows a white car approaching the intersection of Southwest 216th Street and 120th Avenue. The doors of the white car open, and two individuals exit the vehicle, initiating gunfire. Shortly after, a black car stops behind the white car, and additional shots are fired.
Victim and Police Response
The victim, identified as 33-year-old Tristam Hobbs, was struck by gunfire and found by police with a gunshot wound to his back. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. Police officers on the scene recovered over 100 spent casings.
