Radio legend Frank Ski hosted an insightful segment recently discussing Atlanta restaurants following the visit of a food critic whose negative reviews generated significant national attention. These reviews prompted restaurant owners in Atlanta to collaborate on strategies for enhancing customer service. Frank Ski’s observations extend beyond the restaurant industry and apply to many black-owned businesses. The lack of respect and support that black-owned businesses often encounter from within their own community is not limited to the restaurant sector. There is an overall need for greater support, and a common misstep among Black business owners is solely targeting Black consumers.
