Home Invasion Leaves 11-Year-Old Critically Injured

Attempted Carjacking Leaves Woman Injured

A separate incident occurred near East Downtown, where an attempted carjacking left a woman injured. According to police reports, the attack took place just after 11:30 p.m. when an armed suspect approached the victim while she was inside her car.

The suspect, described as wearing a black hoodie and a mask, attempted to steal the woman’s vehicle. During the altercation, the suspect fired shots, striking the woman in the hand and hitting her car as she tried to escape. The injured woman was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.
