iHeartMedia's Z100, New York's #1 Hit Music Station, announced today that radio veteran, Mark Adams has been named Program Director effective Wednesday, May 1. Adams will remain Vice President of CHR and replaces Mark Medina, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Programming in Phoenix. Adams will report into Thea Mitchem, Executive Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia.

Mark Adams joined iHeartMedia in 2013 as VP/Programming for their Portland OR stations before moving the following year to San Francisco to program “Wild 94.9” KYLD and Hot AC “Star 101.3” KIOI. He has also been VP/Programming for Rose City Radio in Portland and VP/Music Programming for CBS Radio Houston.
