Following a successful Oscar night highlighted by Billie Eilish’s Barbie-inspired moment, John Janick is reinforcing the executive framework at Interscope Capitol Labels Group (ICLG), announcing promotions and appointments of 13 key figures within Interscope Geffen A&M (IGA).

Wyskoarko, Carter and Sherrod

In the realm of Pop/Rock, Michelle An, and Sam Riback have been elevated to the roles of President of IGA, where An will also function as the Head of Creative Strategy, and Riback will oversee Pop/Rock A&R as its Head. Their leadership team is supported by Matt Morris, the EVP of Pop/Rock A&R, alongside Chris Mortimer and Kirsten Stubbs who serve as Co-Heads of Pop/Rock Digital, with Adrian Amodeo as SVP of Pop/Rock Marketing, and Chelsea Dodson as VP of Pop/Rock Visual Creative.

The Urban division of IGA is under the guidance of Nicole Wyskoarko, who steps in as President of IGA and Head of Urban A&R, and Laura Carter, who holds the position of EVP and Head of Marketing. This team is completed by Aaron “Dash” Sherrod, the President of Geffen Records Urban A&R, and Ramon Alvarez-Smikle, the EVP and Head of Urban Digital, with Lola Plaku as SVP of Urban Marketing and Strategy, and Andrew Ibea managing the role of SVP of Visual Creative and Head of Urban Creative.

An’s new role builds on her former position as president of creative strategy, while Riback and Wyskoarko have ascended from their previous positions within the organization, marking their progression as leaders in A&R.

John Janick, ICLG’s Chairman and CEO, expressed his confidence in the newly appointed executives, stating, “Each of these executives exemplifies the culture of innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and wide-ranging success that have long defined IGA. As we continue to solidify our team and finalize the redesign of our broader company, we are creating a modern music company that will set the standard for our industry and provide the optimal environment in which our artists can thrive and achieve excellence in music.”

In addition to these promotions, Janick recently announced the appointment of Steve Berman and Annie Lee as ICLG’s vice chairman and COO, respectively, with Gary Kelly and Jason Kawejsza spearheading business operations at the label group.
