Details of the Incident
Crash and Gunshot
On July 5th, a resident heard a gunshot and saw the man’s vehicle crash into a fence in the school parking lot. The resident immediately called 9-1-1. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Online Luring
Investigators determined that the victim had been communicating with the 15-year-old via messaging apps. The teen falsely identified himself as an adult to lure the man to the location.
Arrest and Charges
Three days after the incident, the 15-year-old from Glenwood was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
