In late June 2024, deputies from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin were conducting routine patrols on Interstate 43 when they observed a black Mazda violating traffic regulations in the town of Lafayette.

Additionally, he received 17 traffic violations, totaling nearly $5,000 in fines, including one for operating while intoxicated (OWI).
Following his arrest, Hamilton was held in custody for 11 days before being released on a $15,000 cash bond. The case remains a stark example of how routine traffic stops can quickly escalate into high-stakes scenarios involving significant risks to public safety.
