Sony Music Tops GRAMMY Nominations

The nominees for the 66th GRAMMY Awards were revealed today, and Sony Music Publishing songwriters and composers earned nominations in multiple top categories including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of Year, Producer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.

Olivia Rodrigo and Miley Cyrus emerged among the lead contenders, each with six nods for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and more. In recognition of his work alongside Rodrigo on her latest hit album GUTS, as well as his many other contributions, Dan Nigro was nominated for the coveted Producer of the Year honor, marking his first-ever nomination in the category.

Sony Music Publishing songwriters also had an impressive showing in the Songwriter of the Year category. Edgar Barrera was nominated for his work on hits such as “un X100 to” by Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny, while Theron Thomas was nominated for his contributions on “All My Life” by Lil Durk and J. Cole, among others.

Across the ballot, top nominees and contributors include Rob Bisel for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and more; Noah Kahan for Best New Artist; Janelle Monaìe for Album of the Year; Jon Bellion for Album of the Year; Caroline Ailan for Song of the Year; Sam Dew for Song the Year; Ashley Gorley and Charlie Handsome for Best Country Song; Lainey Wilson and Kelsea Ballerini for Best Country Album; Maluma for Best Latin Pop Album; Tainy for Best Música Urbana Album; Ed Sheeran for Best Pop Vocal Album; Travis Scott for Best Rap Album; Arctic Monkeys and Gorillaz for Best Alternative Music Album, and many more.
